Dr. Jaime E. Gonzalez

Jaime is a Ph.D. candidate in Applied Mathematics (specialization in Operations Research) at Polytechnique de Montréal and also a doctoral researcher at CERC in Data Science for Real-Time Decision Making and CIRRELT. His research interests focus on developing exact hybrid methods based on classical operations research, constraint  programming, and particularly decision diagrams, for large-scale optimization. During his doctoral studies, he also works on job shop scheduling and graph colouring problems. Additionally, he is interested in the application of machine learning approaches on such hybrid algorithms in order to determine the best instance-specific strategies for solving large size problems.
