Gratien is a visiting Ph.D. student in Control, Optimization and Prospective from Mines ParisTech. His main research is dedicated to the development of new optimization methods for improving the design and the control of pumping stations in drinking water distribution networks and to the evaluation of the potential gains which could be achieved by the use of such techniques with respect to current practices.
