Giulia joined the Chair from 2015 to 2020, while pursuing a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics at Polytechnique Montréal under the supervision of prof. Andrea Lodi. Before, she completed Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Mathematics at University of Padova.

Her research interests lie in the integration of mathematical optimization and machine learning. Specifically, Giulia’s dissertation focused on applying machine learning tools to the algorithmic design of practical optimization frameworks like Mixed-Integer Programming.
